5 Major White Wine Types
White wines vary from light & fruity to rich & creamy. While there are many places around the world that produce a wine like chardonnay, some regions are leaders in offering the best value for the money. The five major white wine varietals featured in this wine buying cheat sheet are:

Sweet dessert wines range from very light in color, like a sweet German Riesling to very opaque like Port. Get to know them – lightest to darkest and which brands are worth buying.
