Question: Australia is known for being the driest, hottest continent on earth, so how does it produce such a range of styles of wine from light and crisp to full bodied and juicy?

  1. Australia can really only produce full bodied wines.
  2. Australia imports grapes from cooler countries to blend with its grapes to make fresher styles.
  3. The diversity of climate and terrain allows winemakers to grow a multitude of grape varieties, each of which can produce different styles of wine.
  4. As there are no cooling influences in Australia, winemakers can only pick grapes early to make lighter styles.

Wine Quiz Answer
